TRIP HIGHLIGHTS

  • Stay onboard M/V Sea Wolrd cruise ship : Stay on the M/V Sea World ship and enjoy quiet evenings  and early mornings on the vast ocean.

  • Discover marine life : See colourful coral reefs, exotic fish species and the occasional sharks while diving around Archipelago.

  • Meet the seafaring Mokens : Go around some of the Archipelago’s 800 islands that are home to the seafaring indigenous Moken people or sea gypsies.

Escape on a liveaboard yacht and dive into the waters of the Andaman Sea that are teeming with marine life. Gear up and descend into the azure blue waters and discover reef fish, nudibranchs, pelagic fish such as whale sharks, rays and the colourful hard and soft corals of the Mergui Archipelago.

Kawthaung Airport – Kaw Thaung City Centre (2.8 km): 10 mins

Begin the morning with a transfer to Yangon airport for the domestic flight to Kawthaung.

Be picked up at Kawthaung Airport and embark in the afternoon in order to enjoy dinner on-board at sunset and be on the dive site early the next morning.

Start the day with easy dives in High Rock and Rocky 1, the sites are full of spotted rays and cobia as well as a lot of small stuff hiding in the maze of coral. Observe and find all the special living things underwater like pinefish, pineapple fish, frogfish, seahorses and many different species of Nudibranchs.

The next two dives will be in shark cave, one of the most famous dive sites in Mergui Archipelago, where there is an opportunity to see more than one shark inside the cave. With some luck, spot the manta ray, eagle ray, whale shark, grey reef shark, nurse shark and the big blotched stingray here. There is also a chance to see ghost pipefish, harlequin shrimps, frog fish, seahorse and gorgeous coral at least.

Overnight on-board.

Set out for a day of adventure diving including 3 dives in northern Twin Island and 1 dive in the southern Twin Island.

Dive sites in Twin Island usually offer the best visibility and highest chance for pelagic fish. This is a great chance to see manta rays, eagle rays, whale sharks, grey reef shark, nurse shark, zebra shark and giant sea fans too.

Enjoy dinner and overnight on board.

After breakfast, explore four dives in The Arc, Boulder Rock and McLeod Island. Dive sites are full of amazing soft coral everywhere. It’s a colourful world with hiding spot for marco life: pineapple fish, ghost pipefish, nudibranch. Whale sharks are often seen in Boulder Rock and The Arc is a place for lobsters. McLeod Island is perfect for a night dive.

Dinner and overnight onboard.

Today would be the finest diving day of the trip. Start the day with two dives in Sea fan Forest Pinnacle. The site is covered with a forest of beautiful giant sea fans. In the afternoon, dive in Western Rocky, one of the best dive sites in Myanmar. One of the highlights is a cave diving at 20m depth that goes all the way through the island. There is a chance of seeing bowmouth guitarfish, nurse shark, grey reef shark, cuttlefish, Harlequin shrimps, frog fish, seahorses and plenty of lobsters.

Overnight on board.

Say goodbye to the Andaman Sea with two final dives in Shark Point and Secret Lagoon. They are amazing dive spots, especially for colourful soft coral and caves. There, have a chance to see black tip sharks, tuna, snappers, stingrays, turtles and a variety of nudibranchs and many many more. After the last dive the boat will head back to Kawthaung.

Celebrate the completed adventure along the way with a complimentary beer or soft drink before arriving back to Kawthaung.
